Grzanka to lead “The Emotional Life of DNA” event at ASU in April

Dr. Patrick Grzanka will serve as discussant for a New York Times/ASU Student Government Association-sponsored event on April 9, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the ASU Downtown Campus. This “Times Cafe” event is also part of the ASU Project Humanities series and is co-sponsored by the School of Letters & Sciences. Grzanka will be introduced by his former instructor and current Dean of the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Christopher Callahan. The event, “The Emotional Life of DNA: Biomedicine in the 21st Century,” will explore the intersection of biomedicine and emotions in popular science journalism as exemplified by Amy Harmon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning series, “The DNA Age.” Read the full release from ASU News: “Lecture to explore intersections of biomedicine and emotions” (For immediate release, April 1, 2013).
