The Social Action Research Team’s first major article on sexual orientation beliefs was published online in the leading Journal of Counseling Psychology in May 2013. The article, co-authored by Patrick Grzanka, Julie Arseneau, Joe Miles and Ruth Fassinger, will appear later this year in a print issue of the top-ranked journal. Development and validation of the Sexual Orientation Beliefs Scale (SOBS) has been a hallmark of SART’s research since the team’s inception in December 2010. SART team members Adi Wiezel, Jake Adler, Jenn Blazer and Hayley McCrae facilitated two rounds of data collection for this project, which was supported by a Drescher Memorial Faculty Development grant from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University.
