Fles and Grzanka awarded grant to study bias in reactions to protest / by Patrick Grzanka

Former University of Tennessee social psychology doctoral student Elizabeth Fles and Patrick Grzanka have received a $2,000 grant from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues to support their research on reactions to protesting. This new work investigates how perceived freedom of speech protections may vary as a function of protest topic and protestor race. Fles and Grzanka’s ongoing experimental research is now supported by a Grant-in-Aid from SPSSI, which will help recruit participants from the general public.

Elizabeth Fles is headed to the University of Bridgeport in the fall to start a new job as assistant professor of psychology at the University of Bridgeport. Congratulations, Elise!
